CompTIA brought together industry leaders for the 12th Annual Global Trade Compliance Best Practices Conference Sept. 18. In San Diego. The day-long conference, attended by 80 industry trade policy and compliance professionals, focused on trade policy and regulatory updates as well as in-depth discussion on the best practices for compliance. The event was a great success thanks to CompTIA Members.

On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, U.S. Department of Commerce Under Secretary for Industry and Security, Mira Ricardel and Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration, Rich Ashooh addressed the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) Regulations and Procedures Technical Advisory Committee (RPTAC). The RPTAC which includes several CompTIA members advises the Department of Commerce on technical parameters for export controls applicable to dual-use commodities and technology and on the administration of those controls.

CompTIA continues to be the leading voice of the tech industry for reform of the DOC Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and DOS International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
